Life in the American Colonies

This is a picture of the Jamestown, Virginia settlement. Quite a few british people immigrated to North America in search of a better life. But, the colonists still had a lot of challenges ahead for them, for not only were they poor, but they were also controlled by Great Britain, which is known today as England.
